- What you're running into is the fact that none of your objects have been
- assigned a surface name. Your objects MUST have surface names applied if
- you intend to assign individual textures. Since they have no names (verify
- this under the "Surfaces" menu by trying to see if there is any other
- surface names except "Default"), you are assigning a "global" texture to
- all objects ("Default").

- In Modeller, you need to select either your entire object, or just those
- points/polygons that you wish to name, and then from the "Polygon" menu
- select the "Surface" button. Type in a name for the surface you have
- selected. Save the object. Now when you load the object into Layout, you
- can go to "Surfaces" and POOF! there are additional surfaces available
- besides "Default" that can have surface textures assigned to them.
